ASCENSOR ESPÍRITU SANTO
Elevator inaugurated in 1911 on Valparaíso's Cerro Bellavista to visit the home of the great poet Pablo Neruda.
Located on Cerro Bellavista, the Espíritu Santo was inaugurated in 1911 and is named after a church that once stood on Plaza Victoria. Closed in 2014 for restoration work, it only reopened in August 2018, much to the delight of all those wishing to visit La Sebastiana, the home of the great poet Pablo Neruda. You'll certainly want to take it! You'll also be just a five-minute walk from the town's open-air museum, an artistic creation made up of twenty murals.
