In the heart of the city and housed in the vestiges of the Castillo San José fortress, it was a huppy residential area flanked by luxury boutiques and commercial houses. Their state has changed well, and it is hard to imagine that Cordillera was the city's vital home until the middle of the twentieth century. Today, it is a popular and relatively dangerous wedge at night.
