PLAZA ANIBAL PINTO
This square, considered the heart of Valparaiso, is home to cafés, terraced restaurants and lively bars at night
Anibal Pinto was president of Chile between 1876 and 1881. This square, which bears his name, is now considered by the locals as the very heart of Valparaíso. There are many cafes and restaurants (such as the historic Cinzano café-resto) with terraces. It is also worth noting that this is where most of the city's transportation passes and stops. At night, you can discover one of the many lively bars on Cumming Street, which climbs to the heights, or around the Pergola de las Flores.
