CALLE PRAT
This site, which is the city's main financial artery, includes the Stock Exchange, the former Hotel Colón and the Bank of Santiago
Starting from Sotomayor Square, we take Calle Prat, the city's main financial street. The first large building you come across is the Stock Exchange, the first in Chile, a testimony to the city's financial reign. Opposite it stands a Renaissance building, the former A. Edwards Bank. Then come the buildings of the Bank of Santiago, and the former Bank of London. Then we pass by the headquarters of the newspaper El Mercurio, built between 1900 and 1903, and the former Hotel Colón, the grand 19th century hotel.
