MERCADO PUERTO
A century-old historicist-style building built between 1922 and 1924, now housing some 50 sales outlets.
The Mercado Puerto, located in the district of the same name - Barrio Puerto - along one side of the Plaza Echaurren, is a century-old building well worth a visit. Built between 1922 and 1924 in historicist style by the Bezanilla y Vergara agency, it was closed for ten years from 2010 due to earthquake damage. Back in operation since 2020, it now boasts some 50 sales outlets (20 specializing in food and the rest in handicrafts). We recommend it!
