This palace was built in 1906 by the architect Alfredo Azancot on the order of a wealthy Spanish banker, also leading the Chilean company of tobacco, Fernando Rioja. It is a palace built on stone; Its walls are built in oak wood and reinforced by Adobe, with a decoration of stuc and cement. This remains a French inspiration, with its semi-circular loggia and its two arms. The palace houses the Museum of the Environment and also hosts theater or lyrical performances.
