TRANSBORDADORA AUSTRAL BROOM
Departures every day for Porvenir, crossing every day most often around 9:00 am - 9:30 am, but once or twice a week in the afternoon around 4:00 pm. Allow 2 hours and 20 minutes of navigation, $6,800 per passenger and $43,500 per car.
From November to March, departures are offered to Isla Magdalena and its 130,000 penguins colony in Magellan, every two or three days at 9am or 5pm (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays in principle). Allow 1 hour and 50 minutes of crossing for $40,000 per adult, $20,000 per child.
Finally, trips are offered to Puerto Williams every Monday at 8am and Thursday at 6pm (return on Tuesdays and Saturdays), with the new Yaghan Ferry (built in 2011 in Valdivia, much more comfortable than the old one). Expect 28 hours of navigation for $108,000 or $151,000 per person depending on comfort (reclining seat or berth), including meals on board (single). Children from 2 to 10 years old pay half price. This is a good opportunity to get to know the Patagonian fjords, and especially the glaciers of the Beagle Channel (northwest arm), a sublime landscape in good weather
