LAGUNA AMARGA
This emerald-water lake is home to one of the park's greatest diversity of animals and offers an exceptional viewpoint.
Rich in nutrients, the emerald waters of Laguna Amarga have a high saltwater content and are home to one of the park's greatest animal diversities. Evaporation deposits a thin white crust of salt on its shores, adding a touch of contrast to this striking landscape. In the background, the majestic Torres mountains are reflected in the water on a clear day. The magic of the place is intensified in summer, when a colony of pink flamingos takes refuge here. On the way to Lake Sarmiento, you may also come across guanacos.
