LAGO NORDENSKJÖLD
Lake to be exploited on a hike that leads to a viewpoint offering a breathtaking view of the lake and its emerald waters.
Located at the foot of Los Cuernos, this lake owes its name to Otto Nordenskjöld. This Swedish naturalist and geologist explored the area in 1898. He is particularly famous for his explorations of the poles in Patagonia, Antarctica and Alaska. You can take the hike from Salto Grande to the Cuernos viewpoint (one hour). The trail ends in front of the lake with Los Cuernos del Paine in the background. Another viewpoint, the Nordenskjöld viewpoint, also offers a breathtaking view of the lake and its emerald waters.
