This treasure of mérinide architecture is located in the grocers'area (attarine), hence the name of mederasa. Facing the mosque El-Karaouiyine, this relatively modest mederasa, planned for 60 students, was founded by the Merinid in the th century. It is undoubtedly the most richly decorated monument of the city, with its very worked zelliges, its teething and carved wood covering the entire surface of the walls. The ceiling of cedar wood carved from the prayer room is a masterpiece of the time.

Cette école coranique ( medersa ) se trouve dans le quartier des épiciers c'est pour moi l'une des plus décorée

With my opinion, one of the finest medersa of the medina of Fez. The delicacy of the sculptures, mosaics, stained glass windows and paintings deserves to stop there, preferably, from the opening to 10 o'clock in the morning to avoid the groups of tourists.
