Ruins of the Merinid tomb in Fez, perfect for admiring the sun's rays that give the whole a fantastic hue.

The ruins of the tomb of the Merinids are located at the highest point of Fez. It is here that the last Marinid sultans are buried, while the first of them are buried in the Shellah's necropolis in Rabat. The ruins themselves are of limited interest, but the place certainly provides one of the most beautiful views of Fez, and certainly the most beautiful in Morocco on a city complex of such importance. The ideal is to go there at sunrise or sunset, when the low rays give the whole thing a fantastic hue. Beautiful! Beautiful!

Si la médina vous fait un peu trop tourner la tête, ce monument est une bonne occasion pour prendre un peu de hauteur! De tout là-haut la vue est splendide! L'aspect historique de ces édifices n'est pas à oublier (rois Mérinides)

Sur les hauteurs de Fes , le tombeau des Menerides permet d'avoir une belle vue sur l'ensemble de la médina des Fes . Promenade à faire particulièrement en fin de journée au coucher du soleil .

Point de vue exceptionnel, on sort de la médina et l'on gagne de plus grands espaces, des chemins montent la colline au milieu des peaux qui sèchent à même le sol. Le tombeau ne présente pas beaucoup d'intérêt en lui même mais la vue sur la médina et son labyrinthe est formidable. On prend vraiment conscience des lieux.
