Built in 1347 by Abu Hassan, one of the greatest sultans merinid, near the Qaraouiyne mosque, this very large mederasa derives his name from Abu Mesbah, a scientist of the great neighbouring mosque who taught theology for the first time. It has a magnificent pool entirely in marble imported directly from Andalusia. Part of the project to rehabilitate the buildings in the medina, it has been restored in the rules of art.
