IBN DANAN SYNAGOGUE
Ibn Danan Synagogue with 4 naves, one of the most important in North Africa, offering a very interesting visit
Built in the 17th century by a wealthy Moroccan merchant, this synagogue is one of the most important in North Africa. Yet, despite being one of the jewels of Moroccan Jewish culture, it remains little known to visitors. You won't be put off by the few tourists who sporadically visit its four naves, which are furnished in period style. Be sure to take a look at the exceptional 17th-century Thorah. A young lady living in the building above will give you a very interesting tour of the synagogue.
