PALAIS GLAOUI
Palace to visit, preserved its zelliges, stucco work and magnificent doors, used as the residence of the Glaoui of Marrakech
This palace, surprisingly ousted from the tourist circuits, is well worth a visit. Built at the beginning of the 19th century, it was used as a residence for the Marrakech glaoui when he went to Fez. It has not been used since the 1950s but still retains zelliges, worked stucco, magnificent doors... Abdou, a plastic artist with a unique personality, was born and still lives there. He will be happy to show you the place by telling you its history. He also exhibits his works in the palace, which gives him a charming squat of artists.
