DAR JAMAICA MUSEUM
Hispano-Moorish-style palace, with an Andalusian garden, offering a visit to discover the riches of Moroccan music.
This Hispano-Moorish palace dates back to the end of the 19th century, when the Grand Vizier Jamaï officiated at the court of Moulay Hassan. He fell ill and left for treatment in Fez. The palace later served as a military hospital, housed the Beaux-Arts in 1920 and the apartments were converted into the Ethnographic Museum in the 1950s. Renovated in 2019, it now houses the National Music Museum. A visit to the palace and its Andalusian garden is an opportunity to admire the architecture and discover the wealth of the local musical heritage.
