Camel Souk, with a huge fruit and vegetable market in Guelmim.
The camel souk, renowned throughout Morocco, has long since lost its importance. With the exception of the moussem period, which takes place on the first Wednesday in July (moussem Sidi el-Ghazi). The souk is held every Saturday, from 7am to 12pm, just outside the town on the Tan-Tan road, in a vast area set aside for the purpose. The souk features a huge fruit and vegetable market where you'll find beet, zucchinis, eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, coriander, mint, melons, oranges and watermelons, in impressive quantities.
