PINERY PROVINCIAL PARK
Pinery Provincial Park with abundant wildlife, dunes over 30 m high and 11 km of shallow beach.
A real wall of sand, the Pinery dunes, more than 30 metres high, characterise the landscape of the park. Gigantic oaks tower over a fertile savannah, remnants of vegetation that once covered millions of hectares. Victim of a century of progress, it is now rarer than the rainforest. The abundant fauna it shelters is as unusual as it is remarkable. A shallow, 10 km long beach, close to the campground, ensures tired travellers maximum sunshine for minimum effort.
