It is the heart of the Faubourg, a quiet small street in the th and th centuries of the architecture of Minsk. Unfortunately, the oldest part of the street, at the intersection with Niamiha Street, was destroyed in the late 1960 s. This was a real act of vandalism with regard to the historic and cultural heritage of Minsk. In the past, it was the main street of the Jewish quarter, where synagogues were concentrated, Jewish schools, houses, small factories and craftsmen's workshops. In No. 17 and 24, the ancient synagogues are found; at No. 18 was the former Skorokhod factory which, at the beginning of the last century, produced footwear for the Russian army; at No. 25 was the old shoe factory, then became the oldest bakery factory in Minsk, opened in 1927 and still active today. Some constructions from the end of the th century were held on Viciebskaja and Vyzvaliennia streets.
