EGLISE DU CORPUS CHRISTI (ТЕЛА КОСТЁЛ НАИСВЯТЕЙШЕГО КОСТЁЛ)

Close to the city hall, this Catholic church is the first Baroque monument in Eastern Europe, built in 1593 according to the project of the Italian architect Gian Maria Bernardoni, inspired by the church of Jesus Christ in Rome. Initially, she belonged to the Jesuits order. The frescoes that decorate its three naves date back to the years 1750-1770. There is also the family crypt of the Radziwill, 72 burials in total. The last descendant of the family was buried there in 2000. The "ensemble is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the square next to the church, you can find the monument to Symen Boudny, a philosopher and theologian of the Renaissance who, in 1562, published the first books in the Belarusian language in Niasvij.
