Located 55 km east of Miadzel, this village is the sacred place of Belarusian Catholics. Here, pilgrims from every corner of the country come to pay homage every year to the miraculous icon of the Virgin of Budslav (1598), preserved in the famous sanctuary of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary. In the middle of the vast Belarusian plain, this imposing Catholic church was built in 1783 by the Bernardins in place of an old wooden church in the early th century, which was incorporated into the new church (it became Sainte-Barbe Chapel). Magnificent altar of carved and gilded wood, baroque style (th century).
