JEWISH QUARTER (ЕВРЕЙСКИЙ ЕВРЕЙСКИЙ)

The Jews settled in Mir in the th century. Until the Second World War, they constituted 60% per cent of the population. The old Jewish quarter is situated behind the square, around Kirava street. Its buildings, built between the th and the early th century, remained virtually intact. Today we visit the old building of yechiva, a gathering place of the Jewish community until 1939.
