Old church built in the century by Byzantine architects in Vitebsk at the request of Princess Olga.
A church built in the 12th century, probably by Byzantine architects, on the order of Princess Olga. It is as old as the city. If during the Second World War, the church suffered some damage, in 1961, the Soviet government simply decreed its destruction. Successive dynamite blasts did not succeed in bringing down its walls, allowing a complete restoration in 1993 and 1998. Fragments of 12th century masonry are still visible on the facades. In 2006, the painting of the walls was completed.
