One of the oldest streets in the city. Extending along the river, it starts at the foot of St. Sophia Cathedral. At No. 11 you can find a beautiful Protestant church in Gothic style. Today it houses the Regional Museum (entrance: 3 BYN). The ancient Franciscan Monastery, built in 1628, was in No. 20. At No. 22 is the monastery of the Apparition of the Lord, the heart of Polotsk orthodoxy, founded in the th century. Today, you can find the Typography Museum (5 BYN) and the Simeon Polotsk Museum (2 BYN). At No. 33 you will find the house where Pierre the Great stayed in the summer of 1705. The house is visiting and you can see a photo exhibition on the history of Nižnie-Pakroŭskaja street (2 BYN). A little further is the monument to the 23 officers killed in fighting for the liberation of the city.
