It was here that at the beginning of the Second World War one of the most crucial episodes of the conflict was. Shortly after the start of Operation Barbarossa, the soldiers of Red Army Division 388 were the protagonists of an heroic defence of the city. For 23 days, they stop the advancement of the Nazi army, allowing the country to prepare itself to repel the invader. After passing under the bow, you arrive to the lake on which the chapel commemorating the dead soldiers is erected. On the stone, beside, are engraved verses to Konstantin Simonov, Soviet writer and Poet, who was correspondent of war and participated in the events of Bujniči. Nearby is an ethnographic complex presenting a Belarusian village in the th century, which revives popular culture, the crafts and traditions of the Mogilev region. There is also a good local restaurant and a hotel.
