Entry 20 SDG. This is the best preserved temple on the west bank of Sudanese Polynesia. As it is in the region, he was dedicated to Amun under the reign of Amehnotep III, builders of the temple of Luxor. Soleib wanted to symbolise Egypt's victory over Nubia. Among its bas-reliefs is the ritual of the thallus-sed celebration, which celebrated the 30 years of a sovereign's reign. The latter then symbolically captured the master attributes of the two kingdoms. On 130 m, six columns of the hypostyle hall, three of the western corridor and three side walls remain wholly or partially standing. The rams of the entrance are unrecognisable, but the whole is striking, especially late in the day. Don't miss to walk in the palm grove on the banks of the Nile, which religious processions had to cross to win the temple more than 3 000 years ago.
