Emblem of the city and nerve centre of the town center, home to the city's most prestigious casino and a luxury hotel.
Emblem of the city and nerve centre of the city centre. Rebuilt in 1939 by the architect Alejandro Bustillo, it houses the city's most prestigious casino and a luxury hotel. It replaced the wooden ramblas that followed one another between 1890 and 1913 and the sublime Rambla Bristol by Luis Jamin built in 1919, inspired by the Parisian Rue de Rivoli and justifying the nickname given to the city at the time, the "Argentine Biarritz". Many photos of these different stages can be seen at the Roberto T. Barili Municipal Museum.
