A huge beach at Cacela Velha, frequented by naturists and the LGBT community, with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside.

This immense beach is renowned for its beauty and warm, calm waters in summer. From here, you can enjoy lovely views of the surrounding countryside, the island of Tavira, Monte Gordo Bay, the church and fortress of Cacela Velha. At low tide, it can be reached on foot, but at high tide, you'll have to swim or rely on the intervention of fishermen who offer a boat ride to the equally charming Praia da Fábrica. Good to know: Praia de Cacela Velha is frequented by naturists and the LGBT community, among others.

La plage se trouve de l'autre côté de la lagune, accessible seulement à marée basse (ou bien en barque). La vue, depuis le château du village sur la côte est assez magique. Beaucoup d'échassiers aux premières heures du jour, le monde qui arrive ensuite à la pleine saison les fait fuir.
