While this museum presents the history of Luxembourg's armed forces from their inception to the present day, it also invites us to reflect on the events of the Second World War. Mainly the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in the winter of 1944-1945. The museum's centerpiece is undoubtedly the reconstruction of the crossing of the Sûre near Diekirch on January 18, 1945, by units of the U.S.5th InfantryDivision .
