Every year, the Echternach dance procession attracts more than 12,000 pilgrims (and thousands of dancers) from all over the Grand Duchy and neighbouring countries, as well as many tourists and curious people. This event takes place in the medieval city centre of Echternach, the oldest city in Luxembourg, and has the peculiarity that the prayer is performed by hopping. A unique show, listed as a UNESCO Intangible Heritage of Humanity since 2010.
