There are plenty of after-hours parties in Luxembourg, so it's not unusual for bars and terraces to be popular from 5pm onwards, especially on Fridays, to celebrate the end of the week.

As of January¹, 2014, smoking is prohibited in restaurants, cafés, discos and many public places, such as certain parks. Smokers must either go outside or use the smoking rooms that may be available to them
