Created in 1984, the Photothèque de la Ville de Luxembourg houses an impressive collection of two million photos that make up its archive. The establishment aims to be the memory of the city's physiognomy and its urban evolution through time, from 1855 to the present day. The pictures, which can be consulted by the public, show the squares, bridges and inhabitants of the past. Copies of photos can be acquired for a fee.
