Jean-Pierre Pescatore (1793-1855) bequeathed at his death a good fortune to the city of Luxembourg, as well as a collection of works of art, with the obligation to create a museum and a charitable home. This is how the Pescatore Foundation and the retirement home located in the heart of the city came into being. It is housed in an 1892 building of neo-gothic architecture, which can be admired on the upper town side, just a stone's throw from the panoramic lift to the Pfaffenthal.

Un joli bâtiment, imposant, à proximité d'un parc dans le centre de Luxembourg Ville. Agréable à contempler lors d'une balade.
