Spread over several floors, the museum can be explored via four themed tours that reveal its incredible permanent collection: archaeology, fine arts, decorative and popular arts, and the medal cabinet. Temporary exhibitions complete the experience, and there's a fun trail for children aged 6 and over. After your visit, stop off in the museum store and take a seat on the terrace of the museum cafeteria.

Superbe mosaïque romaine, les expositions sont très bien expliquées,
le restaurant est pas très grand mais très agréable pour y manger ou pour simplement prendre un café.

Structure du musée très belle. La partie "romaine" inclut un exceptionnel mosaic provenant d'une villa. En ce moment, belle expo sur l'ancienne ville des Etrusques, actuellement Orvieto.

Beau musée avec des collections originales réparties sur plusieurs étages, de la préhistoire dans la région aux niveaux inférieurs au Luxembourg contemporain dans les étages supérieurs en passant par des tableaux de l'école flamande ou la reconstitution d'un intérieur bourgeois du XIXe. Les explications sont fournies en plusieurs langues dont le français. Si on s'y attarde, on peut y passer une demi-journée avec un petit arrêt par le restaurant-café à l'entrée sympathique et souvent bondé.
