Luxembourgers don't party until the early hours... Restaurants and bars close between 00h and 1h. Only certain exceptions remain open until 3am on weekends (you won't find them later!).

The legal drinking age in Luxembourg is 16. However, the country has just adopted a "Luxembourg action plan to reduce the misuse of alcohol" and intends to ban the sale of drinks with a high alcohol content (spirits) to under 18s.
There are plenty of after-hours parties in Luxembourg, so it's not unusual for bars and terraces to be popular from 5pm onwards, especially on Fridays, to celebrate the end of the week.
As of January1, 2014, smoking is prohibited in restaurants, cafés, discos and many public places, such as certain parks. Smokers must either go outside or use the smoking rooms that may be available to them
