This walking tour, starting from the National Independence Monument, takes you through the forest between Mersch and Schoenfels, to some very picturesque sites. You'll discover rock formations known as "Mamerleeën", a network of natural sandstone caves and man-made galleries. The "Huellee" is the most impressive of these, offering a magnificent view of the imposing Schoenfels castle keep. The trail continues to a pond and then to the small "Wollefsgriecht" gorge.
