ROTH CHURCH
Built at the beginning of the th century, it was the seat of the first parish of Vianden. Originally, it consisted of only one nave with a remarkable vestibule adorned with five rows of superimposed niches. Thereafter, the basilica was enlarged to the south according to the plan of the Romanes basilicas. It consists of three naves, whose central nave is bolted plane, while the southern nave is flanked by a massive tower which forms the counterpart of the apse of the first nave to the north. Following a dispute in 1248, it was decided the split of Vianden in two parishes, the high town dependent on the Trinitarian and the low town of the Templar.
