A freshwater pool lined with 6-meter-high waterfalls, one of the natural and geological wonders of the Serra do Cipó.
The poço azul is one of the natural and geological wonders of the Serra do Cipo. As its name suggests (poço azul translates as "blue well"), this natural cauldron is a pool of fresh water, surrounded by waterfalls rising to a height of 6 metres. You can cool off here, but it's forbidden to bathe in it unless you've applied sunscreen to avoid polluting the water. The route also includes the Fervedouro, a translucent spring with a white sandy bottom, which, according to legend, produces a unique sound when rubbed between the hands.
