We're all familiar with the Germanic and Italian traditions of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, and the crazy beer festivals of Blumenau, but Brazil also has its share of Finnish folklore. This "Finnish club" was founded in 1943 by pioneering settlers from Penedo to preserve the Finnish cultural traditions of their homeland. Traditional folk dances in costume are performed here. A museum explains Finnish culture. There are art stores and restaurants.
