History: In 1857 Antoine Lescure created a Ferblanterie workshop in Selongey, near Dijon, Burgundy. Later, his son Jean took over the case and created the Factory of Ferblanterie Jean Lescure. A needle and a father with a son, the case is passed on to be named S.E.B (Bourgogne Stamping Society) in 1944. In 1953, the brand is remarkably successful thanks to a resolutely innovative kitchen accessory: the Super Cooker. Later, in 1967, Seb invented the electric fryer without odour and once again, the success is on the table. In 1968 Seb buys Tefal then Calor, Rowenta, Moulinex, Krups, All-Clad, Lagostina, Panex and many others… today, the group has acquired many brands around the world, which each time are leader in the field of culinary articles and household appliances in their respective countries. Every second, the Seb group sells 6 products worldwide.
