CHOCOLATS GLATIGNY
Located at the foot of the basilica and with a façade decorated with 16th-century carved wooden columns, the Glatigny house is a reference to Alençon. The boutique contains an incredible collection of delicacies created by the talented Sébastien Roustin. Next to the pralines, which seduce many gourmands, you will find the famous Etrier Normand, ornate chocolate production in homage to the horses and stud farms of the region, the Sieurs d’Alençon with calvados in memory of the city’s former notables... Or Le Point d’Alençon: a candy decorated with white chocolate lace and caramel ganache, flavoured with green apple. Sébastien Roustin dares to create other creations with his "apérichocs": chocolate leaves with Carrouges cheese and cumin, parmesan cheese, goat cheese and caramel. It is both surprising and delicious. As for art lovers, they must take the time to devour the shop’s stalls with their eyes: Halloween, Christmas or Easter are all inspiring themes for the craftsman and his team.
