THE GOVERNOR'S HOUSE
It is one of the most beautiful seaside sites in Mauritius: at the back of the Plate Island, out of sight, the ruins of a 19th century house classified as a historical monument. After a crossing by catamaran or speedboat, one reaches it by a wild path and the charm acts immediately: a lagoon of an intense blue, a deserted beach of 1 km long and, a little overhanging, a small restaurant of end of the world. No ostentatious furnishings, just a deck, a few shaded tables, armchairs between the trees, deckchairs - a promise of a beautiful day of escape.
