A pension held by an old couple of lovely Ladakhis who will open their arms… and their house! They don't speak English, but ultimately it's not a problem. Very rustic rooms, with separate bathroom (bucket of hot water). Breakfast: omelet, bread and tea.
To recover, not much choice. A small boui-boui opposite Sonam guesthouse offers a good Thali (rice, dal, vegetables and chapati) for 60 Rs.
