CHURCH OF SAINT NICOLAS (CRKVA SV. NIKOLE)
Church dedicated to St. Nicholas with statues that have been desecrated, including that of the Virgin Mary. The square is provided with terraces.
Built in 1853, this church was damaged during the 1991 conflicts. Its treasure was largely plundered. The statuary was desecrated. After the war, the exiles returned to Čilipi. They rebuilt the church and exhibited these statues so as not to forget. In particular, you can see the Virgin Mary with her eyes gouged out... Today, the beautiful square of the church hosts several terraces and comes alive on Sundays during folklore demonstrations, with music and costumed dances
