CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF THE SNOWS (GOSPA OD SNIGA)
Church with a stone rose window and a bell tower where the feast of Our Lady of the Snows is celebrated. The present building dates from 1620.
This small church, recognizable by its stone rose window, was first mentioned in 1393. But the building we see today dates from 1620 and was rebuilt in 1885 and again in 1999. It is interesting to note that the bell tower was not completed until 1968. The little church comes alive on August 5 for the feast of Our Lady of the Snows. The rest of the year, Pupnat remains the smallest parish on the island with less than 800 inhabitants.
