This group of rocks in Djanet's Tassili n'Ajjer National Park is a remarkable geological formation.
On the road to Illizi, in the Tassili n'Ajjer National Park, some 15 km north of Djanet, you'll be surprised to see this strange group of rocks. These are the remains of an eroded table, protruding from the fine sand like pustules or jaws (meaning Timras), according to some. It's certainly a beautiful spot not to be missed on your visit to Djanet. A most remarkable geological formation, despite its violence at first glance. Timras leaves no one indifferent.
