This neighbourhood is located in a triangle formed by the canal pier and Avenue 6, which runs south. The employees' housing estates extend behind the former mixed court overlooking Place du 6-Octobre. They can be found in streets 6, 7 and 8. They look like orderly subdivisions, consisting of two-storey houses covered with bleached cement or stone rubble from the Attaka quarry. There are still some rare barracks dwellings that were among the first constructions for the workers.
