Allocated workshops in the Tanta countryside, renowned and based on erotic figures made in their kilns.
Ancient capital of the 10th nome of Lower Egypt, the Great Black Bull, whose protective god was Horus. Today located in the countryside, this medium-sized city had great importance during the Hellenistic period and many bronzes and pottery from the period have been discovered there. The reputation of the attributed workshops was notably based on erotic figures made in their kilns. About 269 of them have been exhumed.
