PAPAFRAGAS BEACH
Beach with turquoise water suitable for swimming near the archaeological site of Filakopi.
Here's an experience not to be missed: swim through a small rock hollow to find yourself outside the cave and discover the other side of magnificent cliffs. The stunning Papafragas beach (Παπάφραγκας) neighbors the archaeological site of Filakopi. It's an inlet carved out of the rock that juts out to a tiny beach. The turquoise water is almost perfectly transparent, like a natural swimming pool when the wind isn't blowing. The site is very interesting and, as an added bonus, very pleasant to swim in.
