My recent visit to Industrial Eats near Solvang, CA was a bit of a mixed bag, but overall, I left with a positive impression and a determination to give it another try. Walking into the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the bustling atmosphere, with a line stretching out the door. While this initially seemed overwhelming, it was a testament to the popularity of the establishment. However, the setup at the bar with the menu placed off to the side made it challenging to decide what to order amidst the hustle and bustle. By the time I reached the front of the line, I felt a bit rushed and slightly overwhelmed. Despite the initial chaos, the food itself was fantastic. I opted for the Potato and Sage pizza, drawn in by the rave reviews, but unfortunately, mine arrived with a burnt bottom, which affected the overall taste and texture of the crust. However, the attentive staff were quick to accommodate my request for extra goat cheese to help balance out the burnt flavor, which was greatly appreciated. On the brighter side, the Petite Filet, Spinach, Mushroom, Mash dish was an absolute standout. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy and flavorful - truly a dish to die for. Overall, while my experience at Industrial Eats had its ups and downs, the delicious food and accommodating staff left me eager to give it another try. With such a great selection of dishes and a fantastic deal on local wines, I'm hopeful that my next visit will be a flawless 10/10 experience.

Group of 6 all of us were startled by how good the food was.
Shared tables but friendly.
If going to Solvang beat the crowd & go 8 minutes to industrial eats.

Dinner day before with cod was good. Next day tuna sandwich was disappointing. A tuna salad inside a baguette. Very hard to eat as it was huge and no flavor. Softer bread would have worked better. Too bad.

Worth the wait. Grab a beer and relax.

Amazing, eclectic menu, everything from smoked duck to Cuban sandwiches to braised short rib shepherd's pie to 18 kinds of artisan pizzas to Po' Boy sandwiches (note: this is known as a "false range" in the world of editing [a random 'from ...to'], but it's no less valuable in a review) in a lively setting full of wonderful people and marvelous chefs and servers. A minute off 101, why would you not spend an hour here on your way up or down the Coast?

This place has deelishiss food items! I thought it was new and come to find out been around 11 years. Pizzas and burgers and sandwiches galore. All with a twist of yumminess. Beer and wine as well, small bar area but plenty of seating. We will def be back!

A trip to Buellton would not be complete unless you visited this quaint establishment, tucked back on its own private road in the industrial district. The food is locally sourced, and not substituted. The pizza is made fresh, in a custom Italian made pizza oven. Along with all of its sandwiches, and hot dishes. You walk in, and immediately experience the smells, and the heart and soul they pour into their food.

Disappointed after hearing reviews and recs, especially for the price point.

Chicken pesto pizza: nice crisp crust at edges but soggy in the middle. The chicken was dry and pizza was bland other than garlic.

Oyster po boy: oysters were done well, but sandwich was dry and needed more tartar sauce.

Amazing food; so fresh and well-prepared and an excellent value. The staff are also extremely warm and welcoming. I hope this place never closes.

I had the small cheese plate and the potato+sage+ricotta pizza and visited with high hopes. I liked the former more than the latter, though both were good. Wonderful service. Dog-friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the vegetarian options are very, very limited!

I’ve been here a couple times when visiting California and it’s been very good everytime. Menu is so interesting that it’s hard to decide what to pick. Love coming here

Got food poisoning twice...never going back...contacted owners who don't care...they are all about the money

1. Rude cashier (owner?)
2. Was ignored while cashier chit chatted with customers. Don’t go to this place if you’re limited on time.
3. Expensive for below average salad

The rating of ONE star is due to the rude cashier, and being ignored while waiting to order.

I convinced a coworker to join me here for lunch. NEVER AGAIN! There are so many other good options.

Nice place, with really great food. Simple decor and shared table. The food exceeded my expectations

Really great menu, lots of exciting and diverse options with interesting ingredients. Also, good prices especisally considering the normally high-priced ingredients in many of their dishes. However, the food was not well made.

The grilled cheese I got was greasy and soggy with not enough cheese. The bisque was way too peppery and was watery instead of creamy. The burger was also very soggy. Also, eating inside was not comfortable. There's a very scenic park right around the corner that's great to enjoy a meal instead but inside this restaurant, it felt cramped. I've enjoyed eating at communal tables at other resturants. However, because it's cramped here, having communal tables felt awkward.

If this place is able to put more finese into the cooking without bringing the cost up too much, it will easily get a 5 for food from me. Going when it's less crowded, the atmosphere would probably also be much better.

Low key eatery with a variety of beers, pizzas and American food. Well worth the drive if you’re in the area.

1st time there and definitely not disappointed. The food and beer were both delicious.

Great little lunch spot to hit while in Solvang; also very pet-friendly!

Fennel sausage pizza: 5/5, tomato sauce was so fresh and the dough was light and airy, making the crust with a similar texture to a Detroit style pizza; all of that to pair with fennel sausage and mozzarella *chefs kiss*

Caesar salad: 4/5, it’s a good Caesar! Appreciate them cutting and toasting their own bread for the croutons, but in doing so, sacrificed the usual seasoning on croutons which I missed with this dish

Escargot: 4/5, meaty escargot with usual garlic, butter, and acidity of lemon to cut through all that

Overall, love their expansive menu consisting of very different dishes. Def would come back to try all the other items on the menu including the sandwiches

had the White Shrimp, Pancetta, Chile, Garlic,Toast and it was a wonderful. I wish I could get a recipe for it, especially the sauce.

It is not just the food, but as well how it is served determines the strong association of food taste and corresponding memory !!

Found this place, an evening before Christmas where most of the dining were wrapping up for closure for Christmas.

Overall food was great, especially the house specials. And they are totally flexible to customize the orders per our preferences.

They were generous to offer whole avocados and sides for free to our toddler. Which was a surprise, as many city side restaurants wouldn’t care to do that.

Lastly, I could see the success of their business the way there were caring for others. I met Andrew and heard that the group of friends partnered to start this venture and they source within their own farm locally.

I could, not only see the generosity and customer first attitude from the owners but as well from every worker I happened to bump there in my short visit with families.

Kudos to the team!

Keep up the good work. I’m sure you all will grow stronger and serve better in the days to come.

We stopped in for a late lunch, enjoyed the Little Gem Salad, BBQ Brisket sandwich, Beef Tongue Pastrami Rueben Sandwich, and Chicken Pesto Pizza. The food was all very good, my favorite was the brisket..

The service was friendly and helpful.

Thanks All..

We stopped off here on our drive to Santa Cruz by recommendation from our guide book and it was the best choice we ever made.

Unbelievable food, great environment and awesome service. I could have eaten the whole menu gladly. Go out of your way to come here.
