Well-known to enthusiasts and clearly visible from Route 66 as you leave the city to the south, this motorsports complex was opened in 1988. Its facilities host several major sporting events throughout the year, including drag racing, organized by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), and NASCAR, in association with Chicagoland Speedway. In addition to the races, concerts and other large-scale festive events are also regularly held at the site and are the subject of a well-stocked calendar.
